What do you want to do?

Over 60% of the UK population carries out some form of
voluntary service. What better way to volunteer than to volunteer
to help today's young people to become the citizens of tomorrow?

Here are just a few of the roles that are available in
Blackwater Valley District.

Committee members - adults and friends of Scouting who meet
about once a month to manage a Scout Group.
Like all committees there are roles for everyone including
Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer or just a willing members.

Occasional helpers - help out with various tasks at Beaver, Cub
and Scout meetings on an occasional but planned basis.

Assistant Leaders - take part in the planning, organisation
and running of Beaver, Cub or Scout meetings.
This would be a uniformed appointment.

Section Leaders - take overall responsibility for the planning,
organisation and running of Beaver, Cub or Scout meetings.
This would be a uniformed appointment.

Scout Active Support member - provide a support service to Scouting
and contribute as much or as little as they feel able.
Many members also have other roles as Leaders or Committee members.
